RSS Feeds

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, it's a service that permits you to be up to date with the latest news and trends the moment they are published on the web! All you have to do is subscribe to the feed you want and start reading the latest contest of the web.

We live in a fast changing world, every day new technologies arise and previous ones are considered obsolete. Technology expands in a vast spectrum that is hard to follow and keep up with, industries open and close within the blink of eye, a plethora of products are introduced daily and an ever expanding w.w.w. floods us with info. Can you keep updated with all that? This need originated the creation of PCBHeaven RSS channels. We offer different news channels in order to customize your reading experience to what suits your needs most. Enjoy!

How to use our feeds

Following find the three steps needed to have a fully functional RSS reader installed to your computer...

Installation

The first step is to download and install an RSS reader. There are basically 2 types of RSS readers: The standalone type and the add-on. The first type is -as you may expect- a program dedicated to fetch, decode and show news from one or more resources. Such a program could be a windows executable (exe) file. The second type is an add-on to an application like for example m/s outlook or mozilla firefox. Such kind of readers are getting more and more popular. You may find here a list of different RSS readers to try

Setup

The second step is to set up the RSS feeds. Surfing around you may find some RSS feeds that yo are interested. In this case, you should add this feed to your RSS reader so that it will automatically download the feeds from this page. For this reason, you must copy the URL of the RSS position and paste it to the appropriate position of the reader. Because each reader has a different way to do this step, it is very dificult for us to have a complete list. The point is that you must copy and paste the URL of the feed. For example, if you wish to subscribe to the PCB Heaven Economic / Personnell channel of the Electronics section (found here), you should subscribe to the following address:

http://pcbheaven.com/technews/electronics_economics.xml

Fine tunning

Although this step is very important, many people tend to pay less attention as needed. Before flooding your RSS reader with information and feeds, you should spend some time to get used to the format and controls of the news and the reader. If you overcome this step, there will be a time that you will have some tens of news feeds, each one could provide you ten or more news headlines, and instead of being a 'very informed person' you will become a 'very confused person'. You should find a way that fits your needs to categorize and -maybe- folder your news in a way that you can easily access them without get confused. There is not actually a 'recipe' on how to do this. You should cook your own reader!

Where will you find our own feeds

The RSS Feeds can be found in the following page:

http://pcbheaven.com/technews/

The feeds are seperated into channels. Each channel contain a certain type of news feeds. For example, there is the electronic channlel. Within this channel, there are news concerning companies and technologies related to electronics. You can chose and subscribe to as many channels as you may for free.
