3D chat with holographic friend in virtual environment

This video became very popular! Oliver Kreylos, had managed to merge two Kinect cameras into one (we had feature it a couple of days ago). Now, he got his hack a step further. He made a 3D chat program using his merging hack with these two Kinect cams. The streaming video is sent through the internet with a custom compression algorithm and network protocol. He uses Wiimote to control the program and move his virtual camera around the space. Visit his website for more info.
