This jelly fish gone airborne
posted November 11 2010 16:00.16 by Giorgos Lazaridis

Yet another crazy project. 3 people had this idea of Bad Jelly the Fish, a prototype for other autonomous, responsive and flying creatures. Its actually a balloon made of mylar coated membrane filled with light gas. It has color light which interact with the sound captured from a microphone. Also, an IR sensor alerts the jellyfish when it goes to close to the ground, and the "lifting" mechanism is actuated to lift it up in the air. Visit their youtube channel for more.
