You don't want to swim in this earth-like lake of Titan
posted May 10 2011 20:11.41 by Giorgos Lazaridis

Titan is a moon of Saturn, some 800,000,000 miles away from us. It is a cold rock, with a temperature at about 289 degrees Fahrenheit bellow zero. Yet recently, we discovered a lake that is very similar to our lakes on earth, in morphology at least. At these extreme temperatures, the only thing that can be in liquid form is a combination of methane and ethane. The lake is called Ontario Lacus lake and is located in the southern hemisphere of Titan.
