Steam-powered record player
posted November 30 2010 15:34.38 by Giorgos Lazaridis

If someone begins a sentence with "steam-powered..." and you're supposed to end it, would you end it like "...train" or "...record player"??? Well, this guy from Asciimation would use the second option. He made a real steam-powered engine! Water boils in a boiler made of a copper water pipe, and when the water becomes steam, this steam is driven to the piston, which rotates a wheel, which rotates the disk! Amazing isn't it? And what is this record playing? The Sex Pistols God save the Queen! Visit his site for more info on this project.
