DIY gloves for capacitance touch screens

Steve Hoefer form grathio made this mod. He discovered that many phones have capacitance (rather than resistance) touch screens. The problem with capacitance sensors, is that they need a conductive material to touch them and sense the change in capacitance, something that does not happen if you wear gloves. Gloves are generally not conductive, so the phone will not sense your touch. To solve this problem, he used some conductive thread sewed on the tip of his glove's fingers. Watch the following video:
