Infineon Receives "Best of Excellent Quality Award" from Toyota Hirose Plant

Neubiberg, Germany and Tokyo, Japan � April 21, 2009 � Infineon Technologies AG (FSE/NYSE: IFX) today announced that the Hirose plant of the car manufacturer Toyota has awarded Infineon the �Best of Excellent Quality Award 2009� for its extraordinary product quality. This is the first time ever that a non-Japanese company was honored with a �Best of Excellent Quality Award� and Infineon is the only recipient of the award in 2009. Infineon was recognized for providing CAN transceivers with zero-defect quality for three years running to the Toyota Hirose plant, where state-of-the art electronics components for Toyota vehicles are developed and manufactured.
