Blind boy playing computer games is absolutely astonishing
posted April 7 2011 20:06.28 by Giorgos Lazaridis

It sounds so unreal, yet it is true. Meet Terry Garrett, a completely blind 23 year old mechanical engineering student from Colorado Springs, who plays and beats Abe's Exoddus multiple times, guided ONLY by the sounds of the game!

Using a solid stereo sound system, save-anywhere and the occasional helpful description from his brother, Terry figured out the entire game relying upon the game's sound design as a descriptive tool to navigate the game world. After learning how it all worked, and playing the game through a few times over, he plays the game near-flawlessly. This is an interview with him, and some of his gameplay footage.
